Laboratory Uses of Radioactive Material
- Submit application for authorized user and any appropriate supplements to the Radiation
Safety Office for review.
- The Radiation Safety Committee meets quarterly, but can review and approve protocols
between meetings.
- After authorization by the Radiation Safety Committee but before first use of radioactive
materials, the Radiation Safety Office will set up the laboratory with appropriate
postings and labels.
Application of radiation / radioactive materials to human research subjects
- Submit application along with IRB submission to the Office of Research. The Office
of Research IRB coordinator will provide a copy to the Radiation Safety Officer
for review.
