Training Requirements

• Occupational Health & Safety Program - all personnel listed in the protocol must be certified prior to receiving an IACUC approval. • Occupational Health and Safety Brochure: brochure is available for download here.
• Species-Specific Training - all personnel must be certified before handling the animals. Print out the following three items and follow instruction for hands-on training.
  
  1. Read First: Procedure for species-specific training and certification
  2. Training/Certification Request Form
  3. Certification of Species/Specific Training
  
  
• LATA Animal Training Program - The online training can be accessed here: http://hazel.forest.net/latanet/client/drexel/introduction.htm The user name is "drexel" (all lowercase letters) and the password is "bell" (also all lowercase letters).
  
  Please note: all personnel listed on a protocol are required to complete the following training modules
  
  - Base Module
  - Aseptic Module
  - Analgesia & Anesthesia Module
  - Occupational health & Safety Module
  - Species Module - Complete the module(s) fore each species that is appropriate for your proposed IACUC protocol.
